As we all reflect upon our lives and look out upon the vast reaches of earth all throughout the world. We can wonder who else has found this sacred place? But one may ask "What sacred place?" A place where like the lonely tree that remains in the Dead Sea which stands alone surrounded by lifeless waters full of salt, yet in those waters full of salt, it produces no life. Yet we can wonder how this tree is still living. Where do the roots go? The word of God tells us that we are the salt, yet if it loses its flavor, what good is it? We know that Revelation 16:3 says that every living soul in the sea died. This salt gives no life to anything in its water yet takes from fresh water in the Galilee, it gives nothing back and nothing can survive in it. Think of this sea as the world, and those who have lost their flavor. While Yeshua/Jesus is like this tree, we are the branches producing leaves/fruit from the root. Even in the harshest climate, barren, deserted, and full of salt which gives no life. He is still living and so are we who remain united through him! Think about this for a moment! The "Sacred Place" is something that only you can find! It has nowhere else to go, it does not worry, it is not afraid, it does not have an agenda, it does not want more in this life, it is at peace, and it has found rest with contentment and peace. This Sacred Place has nowhere to go in this life, except patiently looking up. This is a place where it appears nothing makes sense in this life, except God's Kingdom while loving, caring for, and forgiving all. Think of this picture no matter what happens in your life or in the future. Know that there is still life, even when it appears that everything has failed, and that hope is lost. God is still seated on the throne and in control! Remember what God's word says about the last days, Ezekiel 47:8-9 He said to me, "This water flows toward the eastern region and continues down to the 'Aravah. When it enters the sea, the sea of stagnant water, [the Dead Sea,] its water will become fresh. When this happens, swarms of all kinds of living creatures will be able to live in it wherever the streams flow; so that there will be a vast number of fish; for this water is flowing there, so that, wherever the river goes, everything will be restored and able to live."-Todd Aaron
